Who runs this site
jobs.johnyc.com is a personal project by John Yuen. It lists jobs from Y Combinator's public job pages. It is not affiliated with Y Combinator.
What we store if you make an account
- Your username. We do not ask for an email address or your real name.
- A hash of your password (PBKDF2). We never store the password itself.
- The jobs you track: job link, company, title, status and your notes.
- A hash of your session token, for 30 days or until you sign out.
- After a failed sign-in, your IP address together with your account, to stop password guessing. A successful sign-in from that IP deletes it.
Your tracker is private to your account. We do not sell or share this data. The data is stored with Cloudflare (Workers and D1), which runs this site.
Cookies
We set one cookie, __Host-sid, only when you sign in. It keeps you signed in. Browsing without an account sets no cookie from us.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and page speed. It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. Read Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Advertising
This site shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads, based on your visits to this site and to other sites. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings. Read how Google uses data from sites that show its ads. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info.
Sponsor link
The "Sponsor a coffee" button opens an outside payment page. That service handles your payment and its own privacy policy applies. We receive no card details.
Delete your data
To remove tracked jobs, use "Remove from tracker" on the board. To delete your whole account, email hi@johnyc.com from any address and give your username.
